Jess Ryan is a mum of two based in Gippsland whose professional career has centred around the fashion industry for much of her life.
Jess’s humble beginnings saw her manage retail stores throughout Gippsland. Being the talented powerhouse she is, she crept the corporate fashion ladder at a young age, holding senior management roles throughout Melbourne for some of Australia’s most well-known fashion retailers.
After over a decade of working in the retail fashion industry and witnessing what today’s fast paced, trend driven, fickle fashion retail world can do to the purchasing habits and self esteem of women…
Jess developed a keen curiosity for women’s consumer behaviour and what exactly makes the perfect ‘curated wardrobe’.
For years Jess researched and experimented with the art of curated wardrobing and finding the balance between fashion obsession and mindful shopping. Jess’s unique perspective on style and wardrobe management was followed by many on her blog One Hundred Hangers and she soon found herself in the wardrobes of women throughout Gippsland, helping curate & refine their style.
AFTER BECOMING A MUM…
Jess experienced the highs and lows of body changes, lifestyle changes and losing herself and her own style to motherhood. This is when Jess’s passion to help others find themselves, their identity and a sense of empowerment through fashion was reignited. Curate & Style was officially born.
Her experience as well as professional styling education at the New-York based styling school The Studio for Image Professionals and further education at The Australian Style Institute has cemented her styling and fashion education. Top it off with Interior Design qualifications, Jess has an eye for all things style.
Her knowledge ensures that her outlook on fashion, shopping and style is professional, researched and considered.
Jess believes that stylists need not be reserved for the rich and famous, that every woman deserves to remove the angst and struggle caused by dressing each morning.

Adding to her accolades, Jess was awarded the 2018 “One to Watch” award of excellence from the Australian Style Institute, and won the prestigious 2021 Alumni Stylist of the year award.
